Lily's Interests and Thoughts and Whatnot

I am very late on this but I kind of forgot I made this site lol. Listened to a lot this month! Some new to me and some existing favorites. A few of these albums are recs from my coworker. I love when you’ve known someone for a bit and then one conversation makes you realize that your music taste is pretty much exactly aligned. ‘Tis a beautiful thing! This reminds me that I need to pester him to see if he’s listened to the stuff I recommended him yet. Anyway I had a pretty good January overall! I finally recovered from a nasty sinus infection and really re-committed myself to staying off social media as much as possible (especially TikTok) and to going to the gym. I’ve also been slowly but surely learning to play guitar. The goal is making music of my own, which I am finally doing! I only do it when I feel like it, which is more often than I thought it’d be! Usually once or twice a week I crank out a song. Sometimes I hate them after the fact. I have a few that I’m pretty happy with now, though! I’m excited to teach myself more about production as I polish up those songs. All that to say I think my monthly playlists are a pretty good indicator of the kind of music I want to create. (Although I suppose sometimes my taste can be all over the place.) Anyway, as Addison Rae once said, “music is wow.” ❤
